Asian Counseling and Referral Service hosts the ACRS Virtual Gala on Saturday, October 2, 2021, 5:30 pm Pre-Show, 6 pm-7pm Program and Live Auction.

Proceeds will benefit vital ACRS services and programs that reach over 30,000 people and families in our region. The event will feature the return of Culinary Journey, where ACRS partners with leading Asian and Pacific Islander chefs to showcase their talents while sharing stories of healing and transformation. Join an evening of inspiration to celebrate community and resilience. The livestream event is free to attend and includes a pre-event show, live and online auctions, and curated meal kits available for purchase. SCIDpda will hold a Virtual Fundraiser Event on Friday, October 8, 6-7 pm PST.

Free to attend. Meals (for Two!) available for $50 (see link for info about meals) Come for the entertainment, see some familiar faces in the community, and most importantly – come support a good cause! JCCCW and Northwest Nikkei Museum offer a monthly Speaker Series via Zoom. On Friday, October 15, 7:00 pm, hear a panel discuss Seattle JACL at 100 Years.

Join this new, monthly program and learn about Japanese American culture and history with the Northwest Nikkei Museum on the third Friday of every month! Densho will host their 25th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, October 23, from 5:00 – 6:30 pm in a virtual format.

The Gala will feature music, dance, art, and inter-generational conversation celebrating Densho’s first 25 years. Registration is free at: https://densho.org/25gala/

JCCCW is open again and looking forward to welcoming guests to Bunka no Hi 2021 on campus for three days, November 12th - 14th. 

This year will showcase traditional crafts from all over Japan. The exhibit will include pottery, lacquerware, textiles, baskets, woodwork, metalware, bamboo and paper products. These objects are still made today using centuries-old techniques and used in everyday life. If you have such traditional craft items from Japan, but are willing to part with it, please consider donating it to the J for the exhibit. All items donated will be processed through Hosekibako and may be among the items offered for sale in future fundraising. Japan America Society of the State of Washington hosts their 98th Holiday Celebration and Auction in a live online event Tuesday, November 30 at 5:30 PM (PST) and Wednesday, December 01 at 10:30 AM (JST).

An Online Silent Auction will also run from November 18 - November 30. This year’s event will connect members, supporters, friends and community in Washington State and Japan online with special stories, fun entertainment, and exciting auction items. The theme will take the Olympics as inspiration, so "Raise a Toast to the Tokyo Olympics" From early giving to "Raising a Toast" together virtually, help make this year's Holiday Celebration and Auction a true gold medal event!
