NVC Commander's Column

by Mike Yaguchi
March 2021, Volume 71, Issue 3

What an honor to serve the NVC membership as the commander for the 2021-2022 term.  Walt Tanimoto left a three-year legacy to build upon – A hard act to follow, but I’ll try!  I cannot begin to thank the steady stream of volunteers who contributed so much of their valuable time to ensure NVC Memorial Hall remained safe and compliant with public health directives.  They also continued to find innovative ways to continue some of our legacy services (e.g., delivery of Nisei Lunch meals) and a great deal of credit is attributed to the volunteer leaders who continue to ensure these programs and services remain relevant.  To our team of volunteers, you have my commitment to formally recognize all of you at the NVC Memorial Hall once we’re able to fully open to the public.

More to follow, but stay safe and healthy, be kind, watch out for each other, and we’ll see you soon at NVC Memorial Hall.

Best regards,

Mike Yaguchi
