At the April NVC meeting, the Nisei Veterans Committee was recognized and thanked by Major General Hiroaki Sueyoshi, through Lieutenant Colonel Fumio Takagi, the Japanese Ground Self Defense Force Liaison Officer at I Corps. LTC Takagi on behalf of MG Sueyoshi the Director of Operation Support and Training Department for the JGSDF, presented a letter of appreciation to the NVC.
The Seattle NVC is undertaking a new project that will include the construction of a rock memorial at the NVC Memorial Hall. This project is an acknowledgement of the Issei and Nisei contributions to the generations that followed and to society in general.

The NVC Foundation Day at the Races will be held on Father’s Day, June 16, 2019. The Day at the Races has been a very popular event in the past and will likely sell out again for this year. Space is limited so sign up early.
The Annual NVC Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019, starting at 9:00 AM at the Foster Golf Links in Tukwila, WA. Please note, this tournament is open to all NVC and NVC Foundation members, their family, and friends!
