Author Lawrence Matsuda and Artist Matt Sasaki uncover how they transformed the stories of six WWII veterans into their newly published graphic novel, Fighting for America: Nisei Soldiers. Then dive into how to use it and its curriculum (included free with the workshop) in your middle or high school classroom when discussing the Japanese American incarceration during WWII. Clock hours pending.

Created in partnership with The Wing and the NVC Foundation. This project was funded, in part, by a grant from the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service, and Japanese American Confinement Sites Grant Program.
