Letter from Les Higa

September 2015, Volume 65, Issue 8

Greetings to NVC/NVC Foundation Family,

We are now situated at our new home in Irvine.  I made two car drives from Seattle to LA to bring our vehicles down.  The second one on my own, after finishing a couple days of work at the old company and working on the Issaquah house to get it rent ready.  On the way down I stopped at the San Jose Japanese American Museum (recommended by Debbie).  It is a very well done museum, and if you are in that area you should try to visit it.

I reached LA last weekend, and the movers unloaded our household goods this past Monday so it has been busy unpacking.  We made it just in time to get the kids situated with schools and what's nice is that they have met a number of kids they knew before we moved to Washington.

What has been a major relief for the family is that both Helen and I landed jobs.  I start a new job this morning at Thales Avionics In-Flight Entertainment where I had worked 12 years ago.  We feel very blessed to have found jobs this quick.

We miss all of you and hope you are doing well.
