Go For Broke National Education Center announces its 2015 High School and College Student Essay and Video Contest. $6,500 in cash prizes will be awarded and the top 30 contestants will receive two complimentary tickets to the 14th Annual Evening of Aloha Gala in Fall 2015 at The Westin Bonaventure Hotel and Suites in Los Angeles, CA. Enjoy an opportunity to meet Japanese American World War II veterans and their families.
To enter, submit a 250-300-word essay or a 3-5 minute video on one of three topics:
1) Study the Japanese American WW II soldier experience and explain its relevance to our lives today.
2) Research one Japanese American WW II soldier and highlight elements of the experience that are most meaningful to YOU.
3) Analyze what the Japanese American WW II experience can tech us about the Constitution, rights and responsibilities.
The Deadline to submit applications is June 30, 2015. Please identify your school/university and grade level for the 2014-2015 school year and include your phone number.
