NVC Talk Story Gathering
What is “Talk story”? Simply put, “Talk Story” is one of the great oral traditions in Hawaii--It is the act of sharing history, ideas, opinions, and the events of the day with other people at any time ... that is the whole purpose of the NVC Talk Story gathering. This gathering is geared towards veterans of all eras and branches of service; however, it is not limited to veterans only. We also welcome non-veterans to join us. Everyone has a unique story to share. It is also amazing how we share common experiences as well.
Please join us on the second Friday of the month at the NVC Memorial Hall (1212 S. King St) at 10:00 am. The NVC will provide donuts and refreshments in the morning and if the conversations carry on into the lunchtime hour, we will serve lunch beginning at 11:00 am as well. For reference purposes, future Talk Story dates for 2022 are scheduled on: June 10, July 8, August (no Talk Story - Vacation), September 9, October 7, November 11 (Veterans Day), and December 9.
