NVC Memorial Hall Tour - - Monthly Open House
The NVC Memorial Hall has served the Japanese American community since the 1950’s. It has always been thought to be a “living museum”, honoring the World War II Nisei Veterans.
Visitors can go through a self-guided tour of the NVC Hall, or they can arrange for a private tour. Most tours take between 60-90 minutes. There is no fee, and they are led by volunteer docents.
The tour includes information on the following displays:
-- Pre-War: The Beginning
-- The Incarceration Experience: The Forced Confinement Exhibit
-- The Medal of Honor Room: The Military Museum
-- Post War: Returning from War, Formation of the NVC, and Building the Hall
-- The Memorial Wall: Honoring the Veterans and WWII Incarcerees
