February Nisei Lunch Program

The Nisei Lunch Program is intended to serve Nisei members of the NVC and NVC Foundation a hot lunch once a month and to give our Nisei members an opportunity to interact with one another in a casual, social setting.

The meals are served on the first Friday of the month at the NVC Memorial Hall downstairs.  Delicious meals are free to NVC and NVCF members.  Enjoy playing bingo during lunch.  Click for more details.


Day of Remembrance at the Washington State Legislature

February 20, 2019

The Washington State House and Senate will be observing the Day of Remembrance on Wednesday, February 20th, at 10:00 AM at the Washington State Legislature building in Olympia.  Following the floor resolution, lunch will be served to guests in the House Rules Room in the Legislative building.

Feb - NVC Executive Council, NVC Foundation Board and General Membership Meetings

February 22, 2019

ELECTION MEETING!  Plan to cast your vote at the General Membership meeting starting at 7:00 pm following the NVC Executive Council and NVC Foundation Board meetings.  Voting will be held at the NVC Hall in Seattle on February 22nd. 

Come early to enjoy a delicious potluck served at 7:00 pm!


Speaker Series: Marlene Shigekawa's film "For the Sake of the Children"

A new documentary film, For the Sake of the Children, explores the impacts of Japanese American incarceration on detainees and their descendants.  The public is invited to participate in a screening and panel discussion with Marlene Shigekawa, Masih Fouladi of CAIR-WA, and moderator Ryan Yamamoto. 

This free screening will be shown at the NVC Hall in Seattle starting at 2:00 pm.  Everyone is invited.
