Nisei Lunch Program

The purpose of the Nisei Lunch Program is to serve Nisei members of the NVC/NVC Foundation a hot lunch once a month and to also give our Nisei members an opportunity to interact with one another in a casual, social setting.

The meal will be served on the first Friday of the month at the NVC Memorial Hall in Lefty’s room (lower level).  Delicious meals prepared by Terry Takeuchi and other helpers are free to NVC/NVCF members.  Click above for more details.



UCLA Asian American Studies Center

UCLA Asian American Studies Center -- The Suyama Project: No-No Boys/Tule Lake Discussion and Archives Presentation at the Japanese Cultural & Community Center of Washington (JCCCW) in Seattle.

The event features Frank Abe, Roger Daniels and Barbara Takei with Suyama Project researchers Lane Hirabayashi, Martha Nakagawa and Tam Nguyen.

70th Annual NVC/NVCF Installation Banquet

The 70th Annual NVC and NVC Foundation Installation Banquet will be held at the Rainier Golf and Country Club in Seattle.  Attend and witness the installation of the new 2016 Officers.

Japanese Cultural & Community Center of Washington

The JCCCW's 8th Annual Tomodachi Luncheon is on Thursday, March 24 at 12 noon in the Campion Ballroom, Seattle University. 

Tomodachi means "friend" in Japanese, and with that spirit, the JCCCW hosts an annual luncheon which brings together new and existing members of the community to help support and secure the existence of the Cultural Center and its programs.


March - NVC/NVCF Executive Board and Membership Meetings

The NVC and NVC Foundation Executive Officers and Executive Council  will hold their meetings from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the NVC Memorial Hall in Seattle.  All are welcome to participate in the 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm general meeting following the Executive meetings.

NVCF Speaker Series: Gilbert King George

The March NVC Foundation Speaker Series topic is "Honoring My Japanese Friends/Relatives of the Green River" by guest speaker Gilbert King George. 

The NVC Foundation presents monthly speakers on various subjects relating to the Nisei Veterans and Japanese American experience.  Usually held on the last Saturday of the month at the NVC Memorial Hall in the meeting room downstairs starting at 7:00 pm.
